Shutlingsloe is one of the three Cheshire Peaks, the second highest at 506m. Also known as 'Matterhorn of Cheshire’ for it’s distinct pointy shape (which reminds me of a conical witch’s hat). Situated between Macclesfield Forest and the village of Wildboroughclough; whose name is thought to refer to a deep valley which was frequented by some of the last wild boar in England.
