Tatton Park is a National Trust estate in Cheshire, England, north of the town of Knutsford. The historical estate is cared for by Cheshire East Council and consists of 1000 acres of deer park, a neo-classical mansion, 50 acres of landscaped gardens, a rare breed farm and medieval Old Hall.
There are two meres; bodies of water that are often broad in relation to their depth. The smaller mere is a consequence of subsidence in the 1920s, but the larger, Tatton Mere, is a natural pool.
This scene faces north-west looking across Tatton Mere towards Tatton Hall which peaks through the woodland.
