The 'Trinnacle' is a remote and highly exposed rock formation in the Peak District near the town of Oldham at around 900ft in altitude. This dramatic large stack of three gritstone pillars has been carved over thousands of years since the last Ice Age by weathering and frost-shattering of the rocks. The formation of rocks sits at approximately 30ft in height.
